As we continue to expand, we are seeking an accomplished General Manager – Architecture & Design to lead business operations, strengthen organizational systems, drive financial performance, and build a scalable, high-performing institution.

The RoleThis is a senior executive leadership position for a commercially astute and operationally strong professional who can translate the founders' vision into measurable business outcomes.

The successful candidate will oversee studio operations, financial performance, people management, institutional development, client relationships, and strategic execution, ensuring operational excellence while preserving the creative autonomy of the design leadership.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead overall business operations, strategic execution, and organizational performance.
- Drive annual business plans, revenue targets, profitability, budgeting, and cash-flow discipline.
- Oversee project portfolios, resource allocation, operational efficiency, and interdepartmental coordination.
- Establish and implement SOPs, MIS, performance dashboards, reporting frameworks, and internal controls.
- Lead departmental heads, strengthen management accountability, and develop a capable second line of leadership.
- Oversee HR coordination, workforce planning, performance management,



and organizational development.
- Manage senior-level client escalations, commercial negotiations, and stakeholder relationships.
- Work directly with the founders to execute strategic priorities and reduce routine operational dependencies.
- Build scalable systems and organizational structures to support future business expansion.

Candidate Profile
- 15+ years of overall professional experience preferred, including substantial leadership and organizational management exposure.
- Proven track record in managing large teams, multiple departments, and complex business operations.
- Experience in a reputed architecture or design consultancy, engineering firm, project management organization, infrastructure company, or real estate enterprise.
- Solid commercial acumen, financial management capabilities, and strategic execution skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in process development, operational controls, performance management, and organizational leadership.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, decision-making, and crisis-management abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification will be an advantage.

Important: This is fundamentally a business management and organizational leadership role, not a design-focused position. Candidates with exclusively architectural design or project execution experience, without substantial management responsibility, may not be suitable.
