Role Description The Functional Medicine Practitioner will provide remote, full-time, client-centered care using evidence-informed functional medicine approaches. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting in-depth virtual consultations, reviewing functional lab results, and developing individualized protocols that may include nutrition, lifestyle, and supplement recommendations. The practitioner will educate clients about their conditions and root-cause findings, guide them through behavior change, and monitor progress through regular follow-ups and adjustments to care plans.

Collaboration with health coaches and other wellness professionals, maintaining accurate documentation,



and staying current with functional medicine research and best practices are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

- Strong clinical assessment skills, including the ability to interpret functional diagnostic tests and connect findings to client symptoms and history.
- Expertise in functional medicine, integrative medicine, or holistic health with a focus on chronic conditions such as hormonal, gut, autoimmune, metabolic, and thyroid disorders.
- Ability to design personalized, sustainable care plans incorporating nutrition, lifestyle interventions, stress management, and targeted supplementation.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills, including active listening, explicit client education, and motivational guidance in a remote setting.
- Comfort with telehealth tools, electronic records, and digital collaboration platforms for virtual consultations and ongoing client support.
- Relevant professional credentials (e.g., MD, DO, ND, NP, PA, functional medicine certification) and any applicable clinical licensure in good standing.
- Commitment to continuous learning in functional medicine, including staying up to date with emerging research and evidence-based practices.
