Company Description AAR Design is an independent, multidisciplinary design practice that grew from a small experimental studio founded in 2017 into a team focused on brand, digital, product, and game design.

The studio is driven by curiosity, intentional craft, and a belief that design should add clarity, meaning, and consistency to every experience. AAR Design works across brand strategy and identity, UI/UX and product design, motion and illustration, and 2D game art and assets.

Role Description The Freelance Artist will collaborate with the AAR Design team to create visual assets across brand, digital, product, and game projects. Day-to-day work includes developing illustrations, character and environment art, social and campaign creatives, and visual systems aligned with project briefs and brand guidelines. The role involves interpreting creative direction, iterating on concepts, preparing production-ready assets, and collaborating with designers, strategists, and developers to ensure cohesive, high-quality outcomes.





This is a full-time freelance position in a hybrid setup, based in Bengaluru, with flexibility for some work-from-home days. The artist is expected to manage timelines, communicate clearly with the team, and maintain a consistent visual style across deliverables.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in illustration, character design, and environment art for brand, digital, and game projects.
- Experience creating visual systems, graphic design assets, and logo or iconography aligned with brand identity.
- Ability to produce motion design or simple animations, social and campaign creatives, and presentation or pitch deck visuals.
- Proficiency with industry-standard design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, Procreate, or similar).
- Capability to interpret creative briefs, conduct basic visual research, and iterate on feedback efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail, composition, color, and typography, with a clear portfolio demonstrating relevant work.
- Comfort working in a hybrid model in Bengaluru, collaborating with cross-functional teams and meeting project deadlines.
- Relevant education or training in art, design, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent skilled experience is also valued.
