• Strategy

- Define Sapiogen AI's technology vision, engineering strategy, architecture standards, and technical roadmap.
- Select appropriate technology stacks, frameworks, and infrastructure based on business requirements.
- Establish engineering best practices for code quality, security, scalability, testing, and maintainability.
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and AI-assisted engineering tools to improve delivery speed.
- Collaborate with the Founder & • CEO and commercial leadership to align technology capabilities with business objectives.

- Develop reusable frameworks, engineering accelerators, and repeatable delivery processes.

Solution

Architecture &

• Technical Consulting
- Lead technical discovery sessions, client workshops, and architecture discussions.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and implementation roadmaps.
- Design scalable, secure, maintainable, and cost-efficient software systems.
- Architect APIs, microservices, cloud-native applications, integrations, and data pipelines.
- Assess legacy systems and recommend modernization and migration strategies.
- Prepare technical proposals, project estimates, proof-of-concept plans, and architecture documentation.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, implementation complexity, and delivery constraints.
- Explain technical solutions and trade-offs to founders, CTOs, enterprise stakeholders, and non-technical decision-makers.

3. AI Engineering & • Intelligent Systems
- Lead the development of AI-powered applications, enterprise AI solutions, and intelligent automation systems.
- Build applications using large language models (LLMs), commercial APIs, and open-source models.
- Design retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), semantic search, enterprise knowledge assistants, and document intelligence solutions.
- Develop AI agents, tool-calling workflows, and agentic systems with appropriate controls and human oversight.
- Evaluate AI frameworks, model providers, vector databases, and orchestration technologies.
- Architect conversational and voice AI solutions involving speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and real-time integrations.
- Implement AI evaluation, observability, guardrails, and fallback mechanisms.
- Optimize AI solutions for accuracy, latency, reliability, scalability, and inference costs.
- Identify when conventional software or deterministic automation is more suitable than an LLM-based solution.

4. Hands-On Software Engineering
- Lead development of production-ready applications, APIs, platforms,



and backend systems.
- Build prototypes, MVPs, proof-of-concept solutions, and technical demonstrations.
- Review code, pull requests, system designs, and implementation approaches.
- Guide engineers in debugging, system design, performance optimization, and technical problem-solving.
- Establish standards for clean code, reusable components, automated testing, and documentation.
- Ensure appropriate unit, integration, end-to-end, security, and AI-specific testing.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools such as Cursor, Claude, and GitHub Copilot to improve productivity without compromising quality.
- Introduce automated development and testing workflows where they deliver measurable value.

5. Cloud, DevOps & • Infrastructure
- Architect cloud infrastructure on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Establish CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Implement containerization using Docker and Kubernetes where appropriate.
- Establish monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and incident response processes.
- Optimize infrastructure costs, performance, availability, and resource utilization.
- Implement secure deployment practices, access controls, secrets management, backups, and disaster recovery.

Engagement &

• Technical Pre-Sales
- Partner with business development and sales teams during opportunity qualification and solution design.
- Lead technical discovery calls and architecture discussions with clients across the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and the UAE.
- Participate in technical presentations, solution demonstrations, and proof-of-concept discussions.
- Assess project feasibility, scope, complexity, timelines, dependencies, and resource requirements.
- Develop technical estimates, implementation plans, milestones, and delivery assumptions.
- Support proposals, statements of work, and technical questionnaires.
- Communicate the technical and commercial value of proposed solutions.
- Ensure pre-sales commitments are technically feasible, deliverable, and commercially viable.

Delivery &

• Quality
- Establish engineering delivery standards across client projects and internal initiatives.
- Break projects into milestones, deliverables, and manageable engineering tasks.
- Guide estimation, sprint planning, code reviews, testing, and release management.
- Monitor project progress, quality, technical risks, and scope changes.
- Ensure solutions meet agreed requirements, acceptance criteria, and production-readiness standards.
- Resolve critical technical escalations and reduce avoidable rework.
- Establish documentation and knowledge-transfer practices.

8. Team Building & • Leadership
- Build and lead Sapiogen AI's engineering organization as the business grows.
- Define hiring requirements for software engineers, AI engineers, solution architects, and DevOps specialists.
- Interview candidates and evaluate technical skills, problem-solving, and ownership.
- Mentor engineers and establish a culture of accountability, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Develop onboarding processes, engineering playbooks,



and knowledge resources.
- Scale engineering capacity according to client demand and business priorities.

9. Security & • Responsible AI
- Incorporate security, privacy, and access controls into system architecture.
- Establish secure development practices, dependency management, and vulnerability assessment.
- Address AI-specific risks such as prompt injection, sensitive-data exposure, and unauthorized tool execution.
- Implement appropriate human approval mechanisms for high-impact AI actions.
- Ensure solutions meet applicable client security requirements and relevant regulatory obligations.

10. Innovation & • Reusable Technology
- Develop reusable AI components, proprietary accelerators, and engineering frameworks.
- Standardize solutions for AI integration, automation, RAG, agentic workflows, and enterprise applications.
- Identify opportunities to turn recurring client problems into scalable products or commercial offerings.
- Evaluate emerging technologies through prototypes, customer feedback, and feasibility assessments.
- Build internal tools that improve engineering productivity and project profitability.

Required Qualifications
- 8–15+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or technology leadership.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and delivering production-grade software systems.
- Expertise in system design, software architecture, APIs, databases, and application development.
- Practical experience with AI application development, LLM integrations, and production AI systems.
- Experience leading technical teams, complex projects, or engineering initiatives.
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure, DevOps, CI/CD, testing, and application security.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical architectures and implementation plans.
- Experience in technical discovery, project estimation, and client-facing discussions.
- Excellent communication, analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work in a growing company with evolving priorities.
