Tekodyne is a robotics innovation company based in Hyderabad. We operate at the intersection of high-end automation consulting and proprietary product development. We are currently building a suite of smart electrical and pneumatic grippers for industries ranging from F&B; to heavy welding, alongside a unified software platform that integrates distinct hardware ecosystems into a single unit.

You will own the electrical side of the systems Tekodyne builds for industrial customers: electrical design, our control electronics and firmware, and control panels. You will also lead installation and commissioning on customer sites, and mentor a junior instrumentation engineer.

Qualification:

BE/BTech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or a related field

What you will do:

- Produce electrical designs: load schedules, 24 V DC and LV budgets, protection, wiring diagrams, cable schedules and termination drawings; specify the power and network interfaces customers provide.
- Design, build and test embedded controllers for outdoor sensor equipment — for example heater, blower and environmental control with temperature and humidity sensing, fault detection and health reporting.
- Design and build control panels and enclosures, including layout, component selection, thermal management and documentation.
- Apply earthing, bonding,



surge protection and EMC practice on large industrial structures with variable-frequency drives, to IEC 61000-6-2 immunity.
- Work with mechanical engineers on the thermal design of outdoor electronics enclosures.
- Witness customer power and earthing tests, and run factory acceptance tests of controllers and panels before dispatch.
- Lead installation and commissioning on site: method statements, job safety analyses and permits, crew planning in limited maintenance windows, installation quality and as-built records.
- Supervise and develop junior engineers and provide technical escalation for field service technicians.

What you must bring :

- 5+ years of electrical design for industrial automation: 24 V DC and LV systems, protection, cable sizing, IP-rated enclosures.
- Has designed and built control panels to drawings (EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical or similar) and taken them through testing.
- Embedded firmware for a product deployed in the field (STM32, ESP32, PIC or similar), including sensor buses (I²C, RS-485/Modbus), PWM heater and fan control, and closed-loop control.
- Has led installation and commissioning in operating plants under permit-to-work, including work-at-height planning.
- Earthing, surge protection and EMC fundamentals in plants with drives.

Positive to have:

- PLC programming (Siemens, Rockwell or similar).
- Schematic capture and PCB layout (KiCad or Altium).
- Panel standards such as IEC 61439.
- Industrial encoders and Modbus TCP or SNMP telemetry.
- Experience in steel, power, mining or cement plants.
- Hindi and other Indian languages, for site work.

Working conditions:

Field work takes place on operating heavy-industry sites: at height, outdoors, in dust, high heat and monsoon conditions.
