We are looking for an experienced editorial professional with a strong understanding and capability of video production, editorial storytelling, and proven leadership. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of editorial judgment, creative vision, and hands-on experience in leading video teams to develop compelling, audience-first content across digital platforms.

This role is suited for an editorial leader who can shape content strategy, drive editorial execution, and lead teams in creating engaging video-led stories and formats.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the editorial planning, development, and execution of video content across digital platforms.
- Work with video team to translate editorial ideas into compelling visual narratives and engaging content formats.
- Drive editorial strategy, ensuring content aligns with audience interests, platform requirements, and organisational priorities.
- Oversee story selection, scripting, research, editorial reviews, and content quality.
- Lead, mentor, and manage editorial and video professionals, fostering collaboration and creative excellence.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to develop innovative video-led content.
- Ensure editorial accuracy, consistency, and adherence to organisational standards and guidelines.
- Identify emerging content trends, audience behaviours,



and new storytelling opportunities to strengthen video offerings.
- Manage multiple content priorities while ensuring timely delivery and high editorial standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Minimum 7 years of experience in editorial, digital content, video journalism - preferably in global news/geopolitics.
- Proven experience in leading and managing editorial teams and video professionals.
- Robust editorial judgment, storytelling abilities, and an understanding of video-led content creation.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including team management, mentoring, and driving editorial outcomes.
- Experience working across digital video formats, including short-form and long-form content.
- Strong understanding of digital platforms, audience engagement, and evolving content consumption trends.
- Excellent communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
