Intern Role Description The Drug Discovery Research Intern will support AI-driven pharmaceutical R&D; projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to explore novel drug targets and candidates. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting literature reviews, assisting in experimental design for in silico drug discovery, analyzing biological and chemical data, and preparing summaries and reports for internal stakeholders. The intern will collaborate with AI and software teams to translate pharmacology, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical chemistry domain knowledge into research hypotheses and proof-of-concept models.

Additional tasks may include contributing to documentation,



maintaining research databases, and presenting findings in team meetings. This is an internship role and is offered as a remote position.

Qualifications

- Enrollment in or completion of M.Pharm (Pharmacology), M.Sc (Biotechnology), or M.Pharm (Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or closely related discipline).
- Solid foundation in pharmacology and pharmaceutical chemistry, including drug mechanisms, ADMET concepts, and basic medicinal chemistry.
- Knowledge of biotechnology principles, molecular biology, and cellular pathways relevant to drug discovery and target identification.
- Ability to conduct structured literature reviews, critically analyze scientific publications, and synthesize findings into clear summaries.
- Basic familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, statistical software, or scripting languages such as Python or R) is an advantage.
- Interest in AI/ML applications in drug discovery, with willingness to learn how computational methods support pharmaceutical research.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical notes, reports, and presentations for diverse audiences.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple research tasks independently in a remote setting.
- Prior internship, project, or academic research experience in pharmacology, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical chemistry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Professional attitude, commitment to ethical research practices, and openness to interdisciplinary collaboration with technology teams
- This is unpaid Learning Internship.
