Founded in 2017, People Media Factory creates cinematic experiences through storytelling and creative production. Its work includes visual effects and other production services that support cinematic storytelling.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We’re looking for a talented, detail-oriented Digital Matte Painting Artist to create photorealistic environments and matte paintings for film, television, and OTT projects.

You’ll work with compositing, CG, lighting, and other VFX teams to create environments that integrate naturally with live-action footage and meet the creative and technical requirements of each project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Create photorealistic digital matte paintings and environments for film, TV, and OTT projects.
- Develop landscapes, cityscapes, skies, architectural backgrounds, and set extensions.
- Combine photographic elements, digital painting, and 3D renders into seamless environments.
- Match perspective, camera angle, lighting, color, atmosphere, and visual style to the source plate.
- Collaborate with compositing, CG, lighting, and other VFX teams to achieve the final shot.
- Follow project specifications, naming conventions, and file-management practices.
- Organize layers, textures,



and assets for efficient collaboration and handover.
- Incorporate supervisor feedback and deliver revisions within production timelines.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

- 3+ years of professional experience in Digital Matte Painting or closely related VFX workplace work.
- Strong proficiency in Foundry Nuke and Adobe Photoshop.
- Solid understanding of perspective, lighting, color, composition, and atmospheric effects.
- Experience creating set extensions, digital environments, or photographic projections.
- Ability to work with high-resolution imagery, texture projection, and layered compositions.
- Basic understanding of 3D workflows, camera projection, and integration with CG elements.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs and references, respond to feedback, and meet deadlines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

- Experience on feature films, OTT content, or high-end episodic projects.
- Familiarity with Maya, Blender, or equivalent 3D software.
- Knowledge of color management, linear workflows, and ACES.
- Experience with multi-pass rendering, deep compositing, or projection-based workflows.
- A portfolio or showreel demonstrating photorealistic environments and set extensions.
