Role Description The Design Engineer – BESS will be responsible for designing Battery Energy Storage System solutions, including system architecture, component sizing, and integration with solar, wind, and hybrid projects. Day-to-day tasks include preparing detailed engineering drawings, performing technical calculations, developing layouts and single-line diagrams, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility, safety, and compliance with relevant standards.



The role involves reviewing technical specifications, supporting bid proposals, optimizing designs for performance and cost, and collaborating with vendors and contractors during project execution.

The engineer will also contribute to design documentation, quality checks, and continuous improvement of BESS design practices. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Vadodara.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in core engineering disciplines, including Design Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating detailed drawings, layouts, and engineering documentation.
- Solid understanding of Electrical Engineering principles relevant to BESS, power systems, and grid-connected renewable projects.
- Experience in Product Design, especially for energy storage systems or related industrial equipment.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of battery technologies, inverter systems, protection schemes, and relevant codes and standards.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, perform engineering calculations, and prepare clear technical reports.
- Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on safety and quality.
- Experience in renewable energy projects or BESS design is highly desirable.
- Comfort working on-site in an engineering environment and coordinating with project, procurement, and construction teams.
