Role Description The Department Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an assigned department within the Store. This role includes managing product assortment and displays, monitoring stock levels, ensuring accurate pricing and promotional execution, and maintaining visual merchandising standards.

The role involves tracking sales performance, analyzing departmental metrics, implementing initiatives to improve revenue and profitability, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications

- Experience in retail operations or store management, including responsibility for a department or section.
- Team leadership skills, with the ability to supervise, motivate, and develop store associates.
- Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to handle queries, resolve issues, and ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Basic understanding of inventory management, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising practices.
- Ability to work with sales reports and store metrics to make data-informed decisions and drive performance.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues and interact with customers.
- Good organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Prior experience in hypermarkets, supermarkets, or large-format retail is preferred.
- Minimum of a diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, or a related field is beneficial.
- Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by store operations.
