About the Role

We are seeking a Data Migration / SAP BODS Developer to support a pharmaceutical data migration initiative involving legacy SAP systems, SAP S/4HANA, and OpenText. The role focuses on data extraction, cleansing, migration, and maintaining document linkages as applications and master record identifiers change during system modernization.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS), SAP data migration, and linking legacy records and attachments to corresponding records in a new system.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform SAP data migration activities using SAP BODS, with a focus on data extraction, export, and cleansing.
- Support migration from legacy SAP environments to SAP S/4HANA.
- Maintain and migrate document links between SAP records and OpenText.
- Ensure existing document linkages remain valid during OpenText cloud migration and SAP system modernization.
- Map legacy master record identifiers to newly created identifiers in the target system.
- Ensure attachments remain correctly associated with migrated supplier records and other relevant master data.
- Validate migrated data, investigate linkage issues, and support data reconciliation.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to support migration quality and continuity.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

- 5+ years of data migration experience.
- 3+ years of SAP BODS experience.
- Hands-on experience with SAP data migration, particularly data extraction, export, and cleansing.

- Experience migrating or maintaining document links to an OpenText instance.
- Understanding of legacy SAP data migration to SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience handling master data identifier changes and preserving attachment linkages across systems.
- Strong data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting skills.

Project Context The initiative involves modernizing an on-premises OpenText environment to the cloud while migrating legacy SAP data to a recent SAP S/4HANA stack. Although application structures and master record IDs may change, existing document relationships must be preserved. For example, attachments associated with legacy supplier records must remain linked to the corresponding suppliers after new supplier IDs are assigned in the target system.
