Customer Success Associate
Before You Read Further
This role is built for someone who cannot stop thinking about the person who went quiet.
A new customer signs up for yoga with a real reason. Maybe it is back pain, stress, or a doctor’s advice they have been putting off. They book a first session, and then life gets in the way. Nobody notices, and nobody says anything. A month later they are gone, and the reason they came never got addressed.
You are the person who notices. You feel a small tug when a customer who was excited on day one has not booked a second session by day six. You want to reach out, not because a dashboard told you to, but because you know how easily a good start falls apart.
But this is also an operations role. You will track dozens of customers at once, each at a different stage, and you will not let any of them slip. If you care deeply but lose track of things, this role will frustrate you. If you are organized but feel nothing when a customer drifts away, it will feel hollow. If you are both, keep reading.
The Role
At MyYogaTeacher, the first 90 days decide everything. In that window, a new customer either finds a yoga instructor they trust and builds a weekly practice, or quietly disappears. Your job is to own that window: to make sure every recent customer finds the right yoga instructor, books sessions, joins them, and keeps showing up.
About MyYogaTeacher
MyYogaTeacher is a fast-growing health tech startup connecting qualified yoga instructors from India with customers globally for personalized 1-on-1 live video sessions.
- 3 lakh+ customers across the US, UK, Canada, Europe, Australia, Singapore, UAE, and more
- 4 lakh+ five-star reviews and a 95% session satisfaction rate
- 550+ highly qualified yoga instructors on the platform
- Headquartered in California, with operations based in Bangalore
We believe the best onboarding feels like having someone in your corner from day one: someone who knows why you started, notices when you stop, and helps you find your way back.
What You’ll Do
Own the First 90 Days of Every New Customer
- Track every new customer from their first session through month three. You know who has booked, who has joined, who has found a yoga instructor, and who is stuck.
- Make sure each customer is set up properly: a yoga instructor who fits, sessions on the calendar, and a clear path to a regular routine.
- Watch the early signals closely: the second session booked within seven days, the first week of attendance, and the move toward a weekly practice habit.
Spot Patterns and Improve the System
- Notice what keeps going wrong in the first 90 days: a step in onboarding that confuses people, a type of customer who keeps drifting, a yoga instructor mismatch that keeps repeating.
- Bring these patterns to your lead with a point of view on what might be causing them and what could fix them.
- Keep clean, reliable records. The work only scales if your tracking is as sharp as your instincts.
How Your Work Is Measured We measure what matters to the customer’s journey:
- New customers who book their second session within 7 days
- Month 1, month 2, and month 3 retention
- Customers who reach a sessions-per-week habit
What a Typical Day Looks Like Your day starts with a scan of your new-customer list. Three customers signed up last week. One has booked a second session and is already working with a yoga instructor. Another joined once and has not booked since. The third never found a yoga instructor at all.
For the first, you check in with her yoga instructor. A short in-app note, a small observation, nothing more than needed. She is practicing consistently, and your job is to keep that going through the person she already trusts.
For the second,
you send a warm, personal message in chat. Not a template. You mention what he came to the platform for, ask how the first session felt, and offer to help him book the next one.
For the third, you look at what she was hoping to work on, shortlist a couple of yoga instructors who fit, and walk her through choosing one.
Mid-morning, you notice that four new customers this week stalled at the same step of booking. You note it, check whether it is a pattern, and flag it to your lead with a suggestion. By the end of the day, every customer on your list has been looked at, and none of them has been missed.
Who You Are
- You have 0 to 2 years of experience. Freshers with the right mindset are welcome. Experience in customer success, onboarding, operations, coordination, hospitality, or any role where you look after people and processes at the same time will help.
- You have an operations mindset. You are comfortable running many parallel tasks, keeping trackers clean, and knowing exactly where every customer stands.
- You genuinely care about people. When a customer drifts away, it bothers you, and you want to do something about it.
- You notice things: a customer who went quiet, a pattern across several accounts, a message that sounds slightly off.
- You write in polished, warm, professional English. Your chats and in-app messages will reach customers across the US, UK, Australia, Europe, and the UAE, and the standard they expect is high.
- You take ownership. If a customer on your list is stuck, it stays with you until they are moving again.
- You are quick with tools and comfortable learning new systems. Full training is provided.
What We Offer
- In-office role in Bangalore
- Fixed general shift with two weekly offs
- Full tool and process training provided
- Health and wellness benefits
- A team that values ownership and care over rigid process
- A mission you can feel: every customer you support is on a real wellness journey, and you help them stay on it
