Content Creator / Social Media Executive
If you'd rather be in the crowd with a phone than anywhere else, know what's charting before it charts, and want to build hype for gigs, festivals and artists, we have an opening for you at The Hype Capital™.
You'll create content and manage social media for a music, festival and gig brand, a DJ/artist, and potentially a large live-entertainment and ticketing platform.
What would your core job responsibilities be?
▶ Manage end-to-end social media for the gig, brand and the artist — content calendar, grid, captions, stories and publishing.
▶ Build hype before every event: lineup announcements, artist reveals, countdowns, teasers and ticket-push content.
▶ Shoot and edit live content on-ground at gigs, festivals and club nights — crowd moments, backstage, soundchecks, set highlights — and turn it around fast, often the same night.
▶ Create artist-led content for the DJ: studio sessions, behind-the-decks, track teasers, tour diaries, set recaps and personality-driven reels.
▶ Ride music trends — trending audios, remixes, dance and meme formats — and adapt them for the brand and the artist.
▶ Run real-time coverage during events: stories, live updates, reposts and community engagement.
▶ Produce event recap videos and aftermovie edits that sell the next event.
▶ Coordinate with artists, promoters, venues, ticketing partners and creators for collaborations and cross-promotions.
▶ Support ticket sales with content and ad creatives for performance campaigns.
▶ Track content performance (reach, shares, saves, link clicks, ticket conversions) and refine formats and hooks.
Who would be a good fit?
▶ Someone who lives for music and nightlife and knows the indie,
electronic and live music scene.
▶ Someone with a portfolio of event, concert, nightlife or artist content they've shot and edited themselves.
▶ Someone who can shoot in low light, crowded and chaotic spaces and still get the shot.
▶ Someone who edits rapid and knows beat-syncing, transitions and pacing for music content.
▶ Someone highly proficient in mobile editing apps (CapCut, VN, InShot) and/or Premiere Pro, and comfortable with Canva.
▶ Someone comfortable working with artists and talent — directing them on camera and handling them professionally.
▶ Someone with brilliant storytelling and copywriting skills — hooks, captions and on-screen text with personality.
▶ Someone who stays calm under pressure when events are live and nothing goes to plan.
▶ Someone fully comfortable with late nights, weekends, event days and travel for gigs and festivals.
▶ Someone who is street smart and good with people — crowds, artists and venue teams.
Don't apply if any of these things describe you
▶ You're not comfortable working late nights and weekends — this is where most of the work happens.
▶ You want to attend events as a fan rather than work them.
▶ You see account management and content creation as a chore rather than a passion.
▶ You are not punctual (delaying things shouldn't be your personality, especially when content needs to go out the same night).
▶ You can't learn from your mistakes (make mistakes, but not the same ones).
▶ You don't have a growth mindset.
