– Lab Technician (Computer Lab & IT Support)

Position: Lab Technician

Department: IT / Computer Lab

Reporting To: IT Manager / Lab In-Charge

Job Purpose To ensure the smooth functioning and maintenance of computer labs and provide basic IT support to students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day operations of the computer lab and ensure all systems are functional.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computers, software, printers, projectors, and other IT equipment.
- Provide first-level IT support for hardware, software, LAN/Wi-Fi, and peripheral-related issues.
- Maintain records of IT assets, equipment, repairs, and inventory.
- Support faculty and students during practical classes, examinations, and academic activities.




- Coordinate with the IT team/vendors for unresolved technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with IT security and University policies.

Qualification & Experience
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in computer lab management or IT support preferred.
- Freshers with relevant technical skills may also be considered.
