Ensure cloud solutions meet performance, availability, scalability, and reliability requirements.
- Cloud Platform Management
Architect and manage cloud solutions using one or more platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
Design and manage cloud compute, storage, networking, database, and application services.
Implement cloud networking components, including virtual networks, subnets, routing, VPNs, private connectivity, load balancers, and firewalls.
Design identity and access management solutions using least-privilege principles.
Implement cloud monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance management solutions.
Establish cloud resource provisioning standards and governance policies.
- Cloud Migration and Modernization
Lead cloud migration initiatives involving applications, databases, infrastructure, and enterprise workloads.
Assess existing on-premises infrastructure and develop cloud migration strategies.
Plan and execute migration approaches such as rehosting, replatforming, refactoring, and modernization.
Identify opportunities to modernize legacy applications using containers, microservices, and serverless technologies.
Minimize downtime and business disruption during migration activities.
Validate migrated workloads for functionality, performance, security, and cost efficiency.
- Cloud Security and Compliance
Design and implement secure cloud architectures in accordance with organizational security policies and applicable compliance requirements.
Implement identity and access management, role-based access control, multifactor authentication, and privileged access management.
Define security controls for data encryption, secrets management, network segmentation, and vulnerability management.
Establish cloud security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response practices.
Support security assessments, audits, risk reviews, and remediation activities.
Apply relevant compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements based on business and industry needs.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Automation
Design and implement infrastructure automation using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Bicep, or equivalent tools.
Develop reusable infrastructure modules, templates, and deployment standards.
Automate cloud provisioning, configuration management, and operational tasks.
Implement CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to establish automated deployment and release processes.
Ensure infrastructure configurations are version-controlled, repeatable, and maintainable.
- DevOps, Containers, and Cloud-Native Technologies
Design cloud-native solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, and managed container platforms.
Provide architectural guidance for microservices, API integrations, and distributed applications.
Support CI/CD implementation using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD.
Define deployment strategies such as blue-green deployments, canary releases, and rolling updates.
Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to improve release reliability and operational efficiency.
- High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and Performance
Design high-availability architectures across availability zones and regions where required.
Develop disaster recovery strategies, backup policies, and business continuity plans.
Define recovery time objectives (RTO) and recovery point objectives (RPO) with business stakeholders.
Conduct disaster recovery testing and validate recovery procedures.
Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to availability, latency, and resource utilization.
Identify and address architectural bottlenecks and single points of failure.
- Cloud Cost Optimization and Governance
