Planned expansion will grow the facility to a 4,32,000 square-foot area with 500 beds over 6.5 acres, reinforcing its position as a preferred global healthcare destination.

Role Description The Clinical Head is a full time, on-site leadership role based at Meitra Hospital in Kozhikode. This role oversees clinical operations, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices, regulatory standards, and hospital protocols across all departments.

Responsibilities include leading medical staff, coordinating multidisciplinary care, driving quality and patient safety initiatives, and optimizing clinical workflows and resource utilization.

The Clinical

Head will collaborate with hospital administration on strategic planning, service line development, and performance improvement, while mentoring clinicians and promoting continuous professional development. The role also involves monitoring clinical outcomes, supporting accreditation processes,



and fostering a patient-centered culture that aligns with Meitra’s vision and values.

Qualifications

- Advanced medical degree (MD/MS/DM/MCh or equivalent) with recognized clinical specialty; additional qualification in hospital administration or health management is an advantage.
- Extensive experience in leading clinical teams in a tertiary or quaternary care setting, including responsibility for multi-specialty services and ICU/OT environments.
- Strong expertise in evidence-based medicine, clinical governance, and quality improvement, including development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines.
- Proven leadership, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with medical, nursing, and administrative teams.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, ethical clinical practice, and person-centered care, with experience in managing patient and family expectations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the clinical function in committees, external audits, and accreditation processes.
- Experience with hospital information systems, clinical data analysis, and use of technology to support care delivery and operational efficiency.
- Ability to work on-site in Kozhikode and engage in full-time responsibilities, including participation in emergency and strategic planning requirements.
- Prior experience in building or scaling clinical programs, service lines, or centers of excellence is highly desirable.
