Role Description The Bar Manager is a full time, on-site role based at Merlis Hotels in Coimbatore.

The Bar

Manager oversees daily bar operations, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and legal regulations. The role involves planning bar menus, monitoring beverage quality and presentation, and maintaining a clean, organized bar environment.

Manager is responsible for delivering consistent customer service, handling guest feedback, coordinating with the kitchen and other departments, and driving bar sales and promotional activities.



This position also leads training and coaching of bar team members to uphold service standards and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and relationship building.
- Candidates should possess Food & Beverage knowledge, including bar operations, beverage preparation, and menu planning.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for interacting with guests, colleagues, and management.
- Candidates should possess Training skills to mentor, guide, and develop bar staff.
- Candidates should possess Sales skills to promote beverages, up sell offerings, and support revenue growth.
- Relevant experience in bar or restaurant management, preferably in a hotel environment.
- Ability to manage staff schedules, inventory control, and vendor relationships.
- Knowledge of local regulations related to alcohol service, hygiene, and safety.
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by bar operations.
- Tamil language known candidates preferred.
