Role Description The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and market penetration within assigned territories in and around New Delhi. This full-time, on-site role involves managing distributor and retailer relationships, setting and tracking sales targets, and monitoring performance against revenue objectives.

Manager will conduct regular market visits, analyze sales data, identify new business opportunities, and implement promotional activities to increase product visibility. The role includes coordinating with internal teams for demand planning, inventory management, and timely deliveries, while ensuring high standards of customer service.

Manager will also train and guide field sales representatives, prepare periodic sales reports, and provide feedback on market trends and competitive activity to leadership.

Qualifications

- Strong sales and business development skills, including territory management, channel management,



and key account handling.
- Proficiency in communication and negotiation, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with distributors, retailers, and internal stakeholders.
- Experience in sales planning and analysis, including forecasting, target setting, and performance tracking using basic sales reporting tools.
- Ability to conduct market research, understand consumer behavior, and provide insights on pricing, competitor activity, and promotional strategies.
- Proven capability in team coordination and leadership, including mentoring field staff and driving a performance-focused culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent qualification is an advantage.
- Prior experience in FMCG or related product categories, particularly in an area or regional sales management role..
- Comfort with on-site work, frequent local travel within assigned territories, and meeting time-bound sales objectives.
