About the Role

We are looking for an experienced API Integration Engineer with strong expertise in REST APIs, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and web technologies. The ideal candidate will help clients integrate APIs into their existing systems, understand their technical requirements, and recommend efficient, scalable, and reliable implementation approaches.

The candidate should have a deep understanding of how APIs work, hands-on experience with frontend and/or backend technologies, and the ability to troubleshoot integration challenges and optimize the way APIs and external scripts are implemented within web applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Work with clients to understand their technical requirements and help integrate APIs with their existing applications, websites, and backend systems.
- Analyze API documentation and translate business and technical requirements into practical implementation approaches.
- Implement, test, debug, and troubleshoot REST API integrations across different systems.
- Work with HTTP requests and responses, JSON payloads, headers, query parameters, status codes, and API error handling.
- Develop and troubleshoot web integrations using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.




- Optimize the loading and execution of JavaScript files and third-party scripts to minimize their impact on website performance.
- Identify opportunities to improve API integration efficiency, reduce unnecessary network requests, and optimize request-response handling.
- Diagnose integration issues using browser developer tools, network inspection, server logs, and API testing tools.
- Collaborate with client technical teams and internal engineering teams to resolve implementation challenges.
- Provide technical guidance on API usage, integration workflows, implementation dependencies, and best practices.
- Test integrations across different environments and ensure functionality, reliability, and compatibility with existing systems.
- Document implementation steps, troubleshooting procedures, and recommendations for future integrations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in API integration, web development, or a related software engineering role.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, request-response lifecycles, HTTP methods, status codes, headers, JSON, and error handling.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Practical experience integrating APIs with frontend applications, backend services, or third-party platforms.
- Understanding of JavaScript execution, asynchronous operations, Promises, async/await, and dynamic script loading.
- Hands-on experience optimizing script loading using techniques such as async, defer, and dynamic script injection.




- Proficiency in using Postman or similar tools for API testing and debugging.
- Experience using browser developer tools to inspect network requests, debug JavaScript issues, and identify performance bottlenecks.
- Understanding of CORS, browser behavior, cookies, caching, and common web integration challenges.
- Experience working with at least one frontend or backend technology, such as React, Angular, Vue.js, Node.js, Python, or Go.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

- Experience integrating third-party JavaScript libraries, SDKs, widgets, and external services into client websites.
- Experience working directly with clients on technical implementations and integration troubleshooting.
- Understanding of website performance optimization, browser rendering, lazy loading, and reducing render-blocking resources.
- Experience interpreting technical documentation and independently developing integration solutions.
