EVA Equity Partners acquires enterprise software companies and transforms them into AI-native, profitable businesses. We operate on a shared platform — Odoo, Redmine, and GitHub — through which every portfolio company is onboarded, operated, and measured.

Your mandate is to re-architect this platform for agents: design and build the plugins, integrations, and agentic workflows that turn EVA's operational tools into a platform where AI agents create, route, and resolve work alongside people with minimal human oversight.

You are not configuring tools. You are designing the operational substrate that allows AI agents to safely run a business at scale.

THE ROLE

This is a rare hybrid of operational tooling expertise, Rails plugin engineering, and agentic AI implementation. You will own the full mandate — from business-process discovery through architecture, build, and production deployment.

Core responsibilities

▸ Own the feature roadmap for EVA Central's operational tools — Odoo, Redmine, GitHub, and adjacent systems

▸ Design agent-operable surfaces: typed APIs, MCP servers, and webhook automation that let AI agents read, create, and resolve operational work safely

▸ Architect and build Redmine plugins in Ruby on Rails and Odoo modules that extend products cleanly without forking them





▸ Engineer customisations to be upgrade-safe across product versions — isolating extensions behind stable interfaces

▸ Lead incremental modernisation of legacy tool deployments without disrupting live operations

▸ Establish governance standards — audit trails, guardrails, human-in-the-loop checkpoints — for agents acting inside business-critical systems

REQUIRED

✔ 10+ years in software engineering, business-systems architecture, or platform engineering

✔ Expert-level Ruby on Rails — production experience building Redmine plugins or comparable Rails-based extensions

✔ Strong command of business processes across delivery, support, and operations

✔ Practical agentic AI experience — MCP, LLM tooling, or agent-orchestrated workflows in production

✔ Proven track record building plugins and extensions that survive product version upgrades

PREFERRED

◎ Python and Odoo module development · PostgreSQL fluency

◎ Experience modernising legacy tool deployments across major versions

◎ Background in SaaS, scale-up, or PE-backed environments
