Role Description The Accountant role at Measurecon Instruments Private Limited is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The individual in this role will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, reconciling bank statements, and preparing invoices and receipts.

Responsibilities include handling accounts payable and receivable, assisting with monthly and annual financial closing, preparing basic financial reports, and supporting tax and statutory compliance activities. The Accountant will collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure accurate documentation for projects, inventory,



and vendor payments, while following company policies and regulatory standards. The role also involves maintaining organized financial records, supporting audits, and contributing to process improvements in the finance function.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable management, bank reconciliation, and basic financial reporting.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and tools, such as ERP or Tally systems, MS Excel, and other standard office applications used for financial data management.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of relevant tax regulations, GST, and statutory compliance requirements applicable to Indian businesses.
- Candidates should possess solid analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, vendors, and auditors, and to present financial information clearly.
- Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications in accounting or taxation are an advantage.
