Role Description The Accountant role at BiGo Bikes is a full time, on-site position based in Kolkata. The role involves managing day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. The Accountant will prepare financial statements, assist with budgeting, monitor cash flow, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.

The individual will also support audits,



maintain accurate financial records, and provide financial reports and analyses to management to support decision-making.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, bookkeeping practices, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (such as Tally, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and maintaining ledgers.
- Understanding of Indian taxation, GST, compliance requirements, and audit support processes.
- Excellent numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate records under deadlines.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with operations, finance, and management teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certification (CA/ICWA or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a corporate, logistics, or mobility services environment is preferred but not mandatory.
