About StickmanCyber:
StickmanCyber is a pioneer in Cybersecurity as a Service (CSaaS) and AI-driven cybersecurity platforms, and we've been protecting organisations since 2006. Our mission is simple: we do everything in our power to protect our customers from cyber threats. We have no investors, no debt and no inflated targets, so we're accountable only to our clients and our people. That means our growth is built on fair pricing, well-supported staff, and ongoing investment in training, technology and innovation.
We're trusted by 200+ clients across Australia and growing our presence in India, Nepal and South Africa, and we're building an industry-first AI-based cybersecurity platform. Joining StickmanCyber means being part of a company that's changing how businesses are protected, with a real, visible impact on that mission.
Role Summary:
We're looking for an Account Manager to own the retention and growth of StickmanCyber's existing client base. Today we actively manage only a fraction of our 200+ clients, and this role exists to give the rest of that base the attentive, proactive relationship that turns clients into long-term, repeat buyers and referrers. You'll drive recurring revenue through renewals and expansion (land, delight, expand) while keeping churn low.
You'll take ownership of the broader client book, running renewals, expansion outreach, health-checks, quarterly reviews and CRM discipline, while our most senior client relationships continue to be managed by leadership. Strategic or at-risk accounts get escalated to them as needed. You'll be a genuine extension of the StickmanCyber experience for these clients, so fluent, confident spoken English and comfort presenting on video to Australian SMB owners and IT leaders is essential, as is availability for AU business-hours calls and reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own renewals. Track every renewal date across the managed book and run a proactive renewal motion (90/60/30-day) so nothing lapses and value is reaffirmed before each renewal.
- Drive expansion (land, delight, expand) by identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities across the portfolio, such as moving penetration testing clients into managed SOC/MDR, compliance uplift like Essential Eight, ISO or PCI, or GRC advisory, and progressing those opportunities to close, escalating strategic ones to leadership where appropriate.
- Run quarterly business reviews. Structured QBRs on priority accounts covering outcomes delivered, risk posture, roadmap and next steps.
- Health-check and retain accounts by monitoring usage, satisfaction and risk signals, and intervening early on churn risk to keep gross revenue retention high.
- Multi-thread relationships by mapping and maintaining contacts across each account, including the owner or MD, IT and security, and finance, so no relationship is single-threaded.
- Manage clean handovers and advocacy by taking clean handoffs from delivery, capturing references, testimonials and referrals, and feeding expansion signals and product feedback back to the business.
- Keep the CRM as the single source of truth, with account plans, renewal dates, opportunities, notes and next steps all live and current in HubSpot.
What You'll Bring:
- Proven experience in account management, client success or renewals/expansion sales,
ideally in B2B technology, managed services or cybersecurity.
- Fluent, confident spoken and written English, with strong comfort presenting on video calls to Australian SMB owners and IT/security leaders.
- A consultative, relationship-first approach to expansion selling, backed by solid commercial negotiation skills.
- Experience running structured account plans and quarterly business reviews.
- Operational discipline and CRM rigour, and you're comfortable keeping HubSpot (or an equivalent CRM) accurate and current.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted ways of working, such as using AI tools for account research, meeting summaries and drafting client communications, is highly regarded.
- Availability to work Australian business hours for client calls and reviews.
Your First 90 Days:
- In your first 30 days, you'll be fully onboarded, with your renewal calendar built, the client base segmented and prioritized, and account plans started on tier-one accounts.
- By 60 days, you'll have a QBR rhythm running on priority accounts, your first expansion opportunities in the pipeline, and early renewals secured.
- By 90 days, you'll be actively managing across the base, with retention on track, an expansion pipeline building, and a clean CRM with no renewal surprises.
What We Offer:
- A competitive base salary plus an uncapped, gross-profit-linked commission structure that rewards both retention and expansion.
- The opportunity to build and shape the account management function at a fast-growing, founder-led cybersecurity company.
- A collaborative, supportive culture with approachable leadership and genuine investment in staff growth
- A 100% remote role with up-to-date, AI-assisted tools that keep your time focused on clients
