Role Description The 3D Point Cloud Annotator (India) role is a full-time remote position focused on preparing high-quality labeled data for AI and machine learning applications. Day-to-day tasks include visually inspecting 3D point cloud datasets, identifying and tagging objects or regions of interest, and drawing precise bounding shapes or segmentation labels using specialized annotation tools. The annotator will follow project guidelines to ensure consistency, apply quality checks on completed annotations, and revise work based on feedback from project leads or quality reviewers.

The role also involves collaborating with team members through online platforms, reporting progress, and adhering to data security and confidentiality standards.



As projects and tools evolve, the annotator is expected to adapt to new workflows, learn updated labeling protocols, and maintain high productivity while working independently.

Qualifications

- Ability to work with 3D visualization tools or CAD/3D software, including navigating, rotating, and interpreting 3D environments and point clouds.
- Robust attention to detail and visual accuracy, with the ability to distinguish shapes, distances, and object boundaries in complex 3D scenes.
- Comfort with digital workflows and data platforms, including using web-based annotation tools, project dashboards, and collaboration systems.
- Basic understanding of AI/ML data annotation concepts (e.g., labels, classes, segmentation, bounding shapes) and willingness to follow detailed guidelines.
- Effective written communication skills in English for interpreting instructions, documenting issues, and providing feedback to coordinators.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and meet productivity and quality targets.
- Reliable access to a computer and stable high-speed internet suitable for handling large 3D datasets and cloud-based tools.
- Prior experience in data annotation, mapping, GIS, 3D modeling, or related fields is an advantage but not strictly required.
- Familiarity with autonomous driving, robotics, or spatial data (LiDAR, depth sensors) is a plus for understanding project contexts.
- Minimum education: completed secondary
