Senior Consultant SAP Product Compliance & Sustainability (AMS)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced SAP Senior Consultant to support Application Management Services (AMS) for our clients across SAP Product Compliance and SAP Sustainability solutions. In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert and day-to-day delivery lead, ensuring stable, optimized, and evolving system operations while advising clients on best practices across both solution areas.

Key Responsibilities

Application Management & Support

- Provide L2/L3 AMS support across SAP Product Compliance and Sustainability modules, managing incident resolution, change requests, and service requests within agreed SLAs
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement preventive solutions
- Maintain and enhance system configurations based on evolving regulatory and business requirements
- Support and execute regression testing after system updates, patches, or release upgrades

SAP Product Compliance

- Support and optimize processes across Product Data Management, including product classification, substance management, and compliance checks
- Manage and troubleshoot Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Authoring processes, including SDS generation, versioning, and distribution workflows
- Administer Hazard Label Management & Distribution, ensuring label content accuracy, GHS/CLP alignment, and downstream distribution to relevant systems
- Configure and support Dangerous Goods Management processes for transport classification (ADR, IMDG, IATA) and document generation
- Maintain Regulatory Compliance checks, substance lists,



and restriction management in line with regulations such as REACH, RoHS, and similar frameworks
- Manage Raw Material Data Management workflows, including supplier data collection, substance declarations, and data quality processes

SAP Sustainability

- Support Sustainability Reporting processes, ensuring accurate data aggregation, disclosure readiness, and alignment with reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, ESRS, CSRD)
- Enable configuration and operations for Sustainability Steering, including KPI management, target tracking, and steering cockpit functionality
- Administer Mass Balance processes, supporting allocation methodologies and chain-of-custody tracking
- Support Renewable Electricity Allocation processes, including certificate management and consumption-based allocation logic
- Assist in the operationalization of Sustainability Data Exchange Outbound proof-of-concept initiatives, coordinating data sharing with external partners and ecosystems
- Manage and maintain Digital Sustainability Emission Factor Management, including factor libraries, activity data mappings, and emission calculation logic

Client Engagement & Delivery

- Act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, translating business requirements into system solutions and workarounds within AMS scope




- Collaborate with client sustainability, EHS, and IT teams to prioritize backlog and deliver value through continuous improvement
- Produce transparent, concise functional specifications, resolution documentation, and knowledge base articles
- Participate in governance calls, providing transparent status reporting on open tickets, risks, and improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of hands-on SAP experience, with at least 3 years focused on SAP Product Compliance (EHS/PCM) and/or SAP Sustainability solutions
- Demonstrated experience across two or more of the process areas listed above
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to Product Compliance (REACH, GHS, RoHS, dangerous goods regulations)
- Familiarity with sustainability reporting standards and frameworks (CSRD, GRI, GHG Protocol)
- Experience working in an AMS or managed services delivery model, including ITSM tools (e.g., Service Now)
- Ability to independently diagnose complex functional and configuration issues
- Excellent client-facing communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

- SAP certification in EHS, Product Compliance, or Sustainability solutions
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
- Exposure to SAP Responsible Design and Production or SAP Sustainability Footprint Management
- Understanding of data exchange standards relevant to sustainability (e.g., PACT, Catena-X)
- Prior consulting experience in chemicals, manufacturing, consumer goods, or life sciences industries
