Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to join our Digital Technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of web and mobile applications through a combination of manual and automated testing. You will work closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to validate requirements, develop test strategies, build automation solutions, and continuously improve quality practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Position: Software Test Engineer (Manual & Automation)

Experience: 1-3 Years

Location: Bangalore/Hyderabad (Hybrid)

What You Will Do

- Analyze business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test strategies, test cases, and test data.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, UAT, and exploratory testing.
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts.




- Build and enhance automation frameworks for web applications.
- Perform UI, API, and end-to-end testing.
- Execute backend validation using SQL queries.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using defect management tools.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Support release validation, production deployments, and post-release testing activities.
- Prepare test execution reports and quality metrics for stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, testing frameworks, and quality standards.

Qualifications You Must Have

- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and defect management processes.
- Understanding of manual testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, system, UAT, and exploratory testing.
- Experience creating test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira or Azure Dev Ops.
- Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Programming knowledge in Java, Python, or Java Script.




- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or Swagger.
- Robust SQL knowledge for database validation.
- Understanding of JSON and XML.
- Knowledge of version control tools such as Git.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, or Git Hub Actions.
- Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a continuous learning mindset.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

Qualifications We Prefer

- Experience in web and mobile application testing (iOS/Android).
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of performance testing using JMeter.
- Experience testing microservices-based applications.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments.
- Understanding of security testing and accessibility testing.
- ISTQB certification.
- Exposure to enterprise application testing environments.
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience.
- Engineering candidates should preferably have a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Typically requires less than 2 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent experience, unless prohibited by local laws or regulations.
