Job Summary

May Softech is looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Millwork Engineer to join its Engineering team. The candidate will support the development of 2D and 3D engineering drawings, millwork detailing, shop-floor drawings, and production documentation. The role involves interpreting architectural drawings, coordinating with internal engineering teams and external engineering firms, and ensuring accurate documentation for efficient manufacturing, fabrication, and installation.

The ideal candidate should have an understanding of architectural woodwork, millwork manufacturing processes, engineering standards, and installation practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and provide detailed engineering instructions for submittal drawings and production requirements.

- Review, interpret, and clarify architectural drawings, project specifications, and supporting documents.

- Develop 2D and 3D drawings to communicate project details and support fabrication and installation.

- Participate in project initiation, planning, model setup, scheduling, and identification of project requirements.

- Identify project risks and support quality-level planning for awarded projects.

- Maintain and improve engineering detail libraries and drawing standards.

- Develop and document action plans based on project scope and requirements.

- Prepare project strategies and present them during project strategy meetings.





- Coordinate with internal engineering teams and third-party engineering firms during project kickoff and planning meetings.

- Identify potential risks and support risk management activities.

- Improve engineering processes, fabrication efficiency, installation quality, and the use of new technologies.

- Lead or participate in millwork detailing meetings and provide technical guidance.

- Support the timely delivery of accurate engineering documentation.

Required Skills and Competencies
- Understanding of architectural drawings, project plans, and technical specifications.

- Knowledge of 2D and 3D engineering drawings.

- Basic understanding of millwork, architectural woodwork, fabrication, and installation processes.

- Familiarity with engineering standards and documentation practices.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

- Good written and verbal communication skills.

- Solid organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

- High attention to detail and accountability.

- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and adapt to changing project requirements.

- Good coordination and customer service skills.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.

Experience
- 0 2 years of relevant experience.

- Freshers with suitable technical knowledge and an interest in millwork engineering may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) standards.

- Understanding of millwork manufacturing, shop drawings, fabrication methods, and field installation practices.

- Knowledge of project planning, quality management, and risk identification.
