JOB DESCRIPTION – NPI LEAD

Job Purpose

Lead New Product Introduction from customer design handover through prototype, pilot build, validation and production transfer, ensuring manufacturing readiness, quality and on-time launch.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead NPI projects and coordinate Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain and customers.
- Own the complete NPI process from RFQ / design transfer to production release.
- Review customer BOM, drawings, specifications and manufacturing data.
- Lead DFM / DFA / DFT reviews with customers and internal engineering teams.
- Develop process flow, manufacturing requirements, tooling and test requirements, Work Instructions and Inspection check lists.
- Lead PFMEA, Control Plan and process-risk assessment.
- Plan and execute prototype, engineering and pilot builds and production transfer activities.
- Initiate the supplier validation process and coordinate the developmental activity
- Coordinate process validation/qualification where applicable.
- Lead tooling, fixtures, programming, test equipment and manufacturing equipment readiness.
- Coordinate engineering, production, quality, procurement and suppliers during NPI.
- Define and monitor NPI milestones, risks,



open issues and action plans.
- Conduct NPI build reviews and ensure lessons learned are incorporated before mass production.
- Establish First Article Inspection (FAI) and Production Part Approval Processes (PPAP) as applicable.
- Conduct Production Readiness Review and ensure smooth transfer to mass production.
- Create Packaging designs & Customised parts drawings/specification
- Analyze pilot-build yield, defects and process capability.
- Capture lessons learned and drive NPI improvement.
- Ensure NPI activities comply with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949, AS 9100 standards and customer requirements.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

- Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing or related Engineering.
- 5–10 years of EMS/electronics manufacturing experience.
- Solid experience in NPI, PCBA, SMT/THT, DFM/DFT, PFMEA, APQP, PPAP, Control Plan and process validation.
- Medical electronics & Automotive products experience preferred.
- Good knowledge in Microsoft office and Gerber review tools
- Good Communication and Leadership quality

LOCATION

Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
