About the Role

Desun Academy is looking for a proactive and result-oriented Academic Counselor to

connect with prospective students, understand their educational and career goals, and

recommend suitable courses and upskilling opportunities.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and persuasion skills, a

customer-centric approach, and the ability to convert potential leads into admissions while

delivering a positive counseling experience.

Key Responsibilities

Engage with prospective students and parents through outbound calls and other

communication channels.

Understand students’ educational backgrounds, career aspirations, and professional

development needs.

Recommend suitable courses and explain course advantages, curriculum, learning

outcomes, and career opportunities.

Effectively present and promote Desun Academy’s training programs to prospective

students.

Build strong relationships with leads through consistent follow-ups and personalized

communication.

Address queries, handle objections, and guide students throughout the admission

process.

Convert qualified leads into admissions and achieve assigned enrollment and sales

targets.

Maintain accurate records of calls, follow-ups, lead status, and admission progress in

the CRM.

Coordinate with the marketing, admissions, and sales teams to improve lead

conversion.





Contribute to outreach strategies and support the achievement of organizational

enrollment goals.

Qualifications & Skills

Graduate in any discipline; a degree in Education, Psychology, IT, or a related field

will be an advantage.

Prior experience in academic counseling, educational sales, business development,

telecalling, or customer-facing roles is preferred.

Freshers with excellent communication skills and a strong willingness to learn may

also apply.

Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, and persuasion skills.

Ability to understand student requirements and recommend appropriate courses.

Good negotiation, objection-handling, and relationship-building skills.

Target-oriented mindset with a focus on lead conversion and admission targets.

Basic understanding of IT courses, professional upskilling, and career development

pathways.

Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or similar platforms

is an advantage.

Self-motivated, resilient, organized, and eager to grow in the education industry.
