Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and technically skilled Web Development Team Lead to manage our web development team and oversee multiple website development projects from initiation to successful delivery.

The ideal candidate should have solid hands-on expertise in WordPress, Shopify, PHP, full-stack development, eCommerce websites, hosting, and web applications, along with proven team leadership and project management experience.

This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work directly with Australian clients, and strong coordination with internal digital marketing teams to ensure high-quality project delivery within agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Management

- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of web developers and designers.
- Assign tasks, monitor workloads, and ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Track individual and team performance, productivity, and project progress.
- Provide technical guidance and support in resolving complex development challenges.
- Conduct regular team reviews and identify opportunities for improvement.

2. Website Project Management

- Manage multiple website development projects simultaneously, from client onboarding to final launch.
- Gather and analyse client requirements and translate them into actionable development tasks.
- Plan project timelines, allocate resources, and ensure timely delivery.
- Monitor project milestones, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, progress reports, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure smooth website launches, client handovers, and post-launch support.

3. Technical Development & Expertise

- Oversee website development using WordPress, Shopify, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.
- Guide the team in full-stack development,



eCommerce solutions, custom integrations, and web applications.
- Manage hosting environments, domains, website migrations, deployments, and backups.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure website security, performance, and responsiveness.
- Review development quality and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Implement AI-assisted development tools and automation to improve efficiency.

4. Client Communication & Stakeholder Management

- Communicate directly with Australian clients regarding website requirements, project updates, feedback, and delivery timelines.
- Conduct requirement-gathering discussions and clarify project scope.
- Manage client expectations, revisions, and technical concerns professionally.
- Ensure timely communication regarding project progress, delays, and changes.
- Coordinate website handovers, including access credentials and relevant documentation.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

- Collaborate closely with Account Managers, SEO specialists, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Content, and Design teams.
- Ensure website requirements related to SEO, landing pages, tracking codes, conversion tracking, and integrations are implemented correctly.
- Coordinate project priorities, deadlines, and dependencies across departments.
- Maintain clear communication and follow-ups to prevent delays and misunderstandings.
- Resolve cross-functional challenges and escalate critical issues when necessary.

6. Quality Assurance & Process Improvement

- Ensure thorough website testing before launch, including functionality, responsiveness, performance, and integrations.
- Maintain website quality standards and minimise errors, rework, and delivery delays.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures, workflows,



and quality checklists.
- Identify opportunities to improve development processes and team productivity.
- Maintain project records, delivery reports, and technical documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum 7+ years of professional web development experience.
- At least 2+ years of experience in a Team Lead or technical leadership role.
- Strong hands-on expertise in WordPress and Shopify development.
- Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, databases, APIs, and full-stack development.
- Experience developing eCommerce websites, custom web applications, and integrations.
- Strong understanding of website hosting, deployment, migration, security, and performance optimisation.
- Proven experience managing development teams and multiple website projects simultaneously.
- Excellent project planning, task allocation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to communicate confidently with international clients, particularly Australian clients.
- Familiarity with project management tools, AI development tools, and workflow automation.
- Strong documentation, stakeholder management, and cross-team coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience working in a digital marketing agency or web development agency.
- Experience managing 20–30+ client accounts or multiple concurrent website development projects.
- Experience working directly with Australian or other international clients.
- Knowledge of SEO fundamentals, conversion tracking, landing page development, and digital marketing integrations.
- Experience implementing AI-based tools to improve development efficiency and code quality.

Pay: Up to ₹1,100,000.00 per year
