Job Description – Kindergarten Teacher

Position: Kindergarten Teacher
Department: Academics
Location: The Indian Public School (TIPSE)
Reporting To: Kindergarten Coordinator / Principal

Job Summary

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and creative Kindergarten Teacher to provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for young children. The candidate should support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development through play-based and activity-oriented learning.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons and engaging classroom activities.
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Promote children's language, numeracy, creativity, and social skills.
- Use play-based learning, storytelling, music, art, and hands-on activities.
- Observe, assess, and document children's learning and developmental progress.
- Maintain effective classroom management and ensure children's safety and well-being.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues and coordinators to implement the curriculum.
- Maintain classroom resources, records, and assessment documentation.
- Participate in school events, meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a relevant discipline.
- NTT, Montessori,



or ECCE certification will be an advantage.
- Prior experience in kindergarten or early years teaching is preferred.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- A creative, patient, caring, and child-centred approach to teaching.

- Solid classroom management and organisational skills.
- Ability to engage young learners through interactive activities.
- Effective communication and teamwork.
- Understanding of early childhood development and learning needs.
- Proficiency in maintaining student records and communicating with parents.
