Job Description – Shuttering & Bar Bending Foreman

Position: Shuttering & Bar Bending Foreman
Department: Civil Construction
Location: Construction Site, Bengaluru
Experience: 4–7 Years
Salary: As per experience and industry standards

Job Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage shuttering, centering, and bar bending work at the construction site.
- Read and understand structural drawings, reinforcement details, and bar bending schedules (BBS).
- Allocate daily work to carpenters, bar benders, and other site workers.
- Ensure proper installation, alignment, levelling, and removal of shuttering/formwork.
- Check reinforcement steel cutting, bending, spacing, lapping, and binding as per drawings.
- Ensure quality, safety, and productivity standards are maintained at the site.
- Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to complete work as per the project schedule.
- Monitor manpower, material usage, and daily work progress.
- Minimise material wastage and ensure proper utilisation of resources.




- Follow site safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping.
- Report daily progress and any site-related issues to the Site Engineer.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- ITI or relevant technical qualification preferred.
- Minimum 4–7 years of experience in civil construction.
- Practical knowledge of shuttering, formwork, reinforcement, and bar bending activities.
- Ability to understand structural drawings and BBS.
- Good manpower management and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of construction quality and safety requirements.
