JOB SUMMARY

Catalyst Education is looking for a confident, enthusiastic and student-focused Soft Skills Trainer to join our team in Palakkad.

The ideal candidate should be passionate about training students and helping them develop communication, interpersonal, personality development and workplace readiness skills. The candidate must be capable of delivering engaging training sessions and preparing students for interviews and professional environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Conduct soft skills training sessions for students and job seekers.
- Improve students' spoken English, communication and presentation skills.
- Deliver training on personality development, confidence building and interpersonal skills.
- Train students in interview preparation, group discussions and public speaking.
- Conduct sessions on workplace etiquette, professional behaviour and teamwork.
- Develop students' resume writing and self-introduction skills.
- Organize mock interviews, role-plays, group activities and practical exercises.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Prepare training materials, presentations and learning activities.
- Maintain attendance, performance records and training reports.
- Coordinate with academic and placement teams to improve student employability.
- Motivate students to overcome communication barriers and build confidence.
- Continuously improve training methods based on student feedback and learning outcomes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in English, Communication, Psychology, HR or a related field.




- Relevant training certifications or a postgraduate qualification will be an advantage.
- 1–3 years of experience in soft skills training, communication training or personality development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong presentation, facilitation and classroom management abilities.
- Good knowledge of interview techniques and workplace communication.
- Ability to engage students through interactive and practical learning methods.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and presentation tools.

PREFERRED SKILLS

- Experience in EdTech, educational institutions or placement training.
- Ability to train students from diverse educational backgrounds.
- Strong command of English; Malayalam proficiency is an advantage.
- Experience conducting mock interviews and employability training.
- A positive, inspiring and student-friendly approach.
