- Role overview
- You will lead quality checks across raw material, in-process and finished copper products, making sure every dispatch meets specification and customer requirements.
- Key responsibilities
- Inspect incoming copper raw material (cathodes, scrap, billets) and approve or reject lots
- Should have knowledge of TLJ300, TLJ400 and Hydraulic Draw Bench machines
- Check chemical composition, conductivity, dimensions, surface finish and mechanical properties
- Operate and maintain testing instruments such as spectrometer, micrometer, vernier and hardness tester
- Maintain inspection records, test certificates and batch traceability
- Investigate rejections and customer complaints, and carry out root cause analysis
- Supervise QC technicians and lab staff
- Follow ISO and company quality standards and support audits
- Requirements
- Diploma / B.Sc. (Chemistry) / B.E. in Metallurgy, Mechanical or related field
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in quality control of copper bars, rods, square and sections in commercial and ETP grade
- Knowledge of testing methods and QC documentation
- Valuable reading and reporting skills in English / Hindi / Marathi
