Sr. Quality Engineer - Control Panel Job in Ahmedabad, Gujarat

Lubi Electronics is looking for an experienced Sr. Quality Engineer - Control Panel to oversee quality inspection, testing coordination, and quality assurance activities for industrial electrical control panels and power panels. The role involves ensuring product quality, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet technical specifications and quality standards.

Eligibility & Education Criteria

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in electrical control panel quality and testing.
- Hands-on experience in panel inspection, wiring quality, electrical testing, and quality documentation.

Key Responsibilities





Quality Inspection & Control:

- Supervise incoming material (IQC), in-process (IPQC), and final quality inspections of control panels.
- Verify panel assembly, wiring layout, component installation, and labeling against approved schematics and technical specifications.
- Identify quality issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly on the shop floor.

Testing & Customer Inspection:

- Coordinate routine and functional testing, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and third-party/customer witness inspections.
- Ensure panels strictly meet specified insulation, continuity, and functional quality benchmarks prior to dispatch clearance.

Documentation & Reporting:

- Maintain complete IQC, IPQC, and final stage inspection records.
- Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Maintain quality checklists, FAT dossiers, test certificates, and customer inspection reports.

Team Coordination & Process Improvement:

- Guide quality team technicians and allocate daily inspection activities.
- Coordinate with Production, Testing, Design, Purchase, and Stores teams to eliminate quality bottlenecks.
- Drive continuous process improvements, 5S, and adherence to workplace electrical safety initiatives.

Required Skills & Expertise

- Strong knowledge of electrical control panel inspection, busbar routing, component assembly, and wiring standards.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, circuit schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Practical understanding of electrical testing methods and customer FAT procedures.
- Hands-on experience in RCA, CAPA, NCR resolution, and QA documentation.
- Strong cross-departmental coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Prior experience in supervising quality teams and managing direct customer inspections is an advantage.
