Job Opening: Senior Engineer (Maintenance)

Experience: 6 to 7 years in maintenance

Salary: ₹30,000 to ₹40,000 per month

Qualification: BE in EEE, Diploma in EEE, or ITI in EEE

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment and machinery
- Maintain motors, panels, transformers, DG sets, and control systems
- Troubleshoot electrical faults quickly to minimise downtime
- Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and spare parts inventory
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Guide and supervise junior technicians and operators
- Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of repeated breakdowns and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Monitor energy consumption and suggest measures to improve efficiency and reduce power losses
- Carry out regular testing and inspection of earthing, insulation, and protection systems
- Maintain HT/LT panels, circuit breakers, and switchgear as per safety norms
- Attend emergency breakdowns, including shift or off-hour calls when required
- Coordinate with production, utility, and other departments to plan shutdowns and maintenance activities
- Implement electrical safety practices, including LOTO and work permit systems
- Manage spare parts requirements and coordinate with stores and vendors for procurement
- Supervise contractors and ensure quality of outsourced electrical work
- Maintain documentation for audits,



statutory inspections, and compliance requirements
- Support installation, commissioning, and modification of new electrical equipment
- Train junior staff on secure working procedures and troubleshooting techniques

Skills Required

- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and panel maintenance
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, VFDs/drives, soft starters, and automation systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and circuit diagrams
- Knowledge of HT/LT systems, transformers, circuit breakers (ACB, MCCB, VCB), and switchgear
- Experience with motor winding, testing, and repair
- Skilled in using testing instruments such as multimeter, megger, clamp meter, earth tester, and thermal camera
- Understanding of earthing, lightning protection, and power factor correction
- Knowledge of sensors, relays, contactors, and control circuits
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance planning and root cause analysis (RCA)
- Awareness of electrical safety practices, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), and statutory compliance
- Basic knowledge of 5S, TPM, and energy-saving practices
- Basic computer skills (MS Excel, maintenance reporting, CMMS software)
- Good problem-solving, communication, and team-handling skills
- Willingness to work in shifts and handle emergency breakdowns

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
