Process Engineer – STP / ETP / WTP

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Process Design & Engineering

o Develop process design for STP, ETP, WTP, RO, UF, MBR, MBBR, SBR, ZLD and MEE systems.

o Prepare and review Design Basis, Process Design Criteria and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).

o Perform process calculations based on inlet characteristics, flow rates and treated-water quality requirements.

2. Hydraulic & Process Calculations

o Perform hydraulic calculations for treatment systems.

o Calculate pipe sizes, flow rates, velocities and pressure losses.

o Perform pump sizing and pump head calculations.

o Prepare hydraulic profiles for STP/ETP/WTP systems.

o Carry out calculations for tanks, clarifiers, aeration systems, filters and other treatment equipment.

3. Equipment Engineering

o Prepare Equipment Lists and Equipment Datasheets.

o Size and select pumps, blowers, clarifiers, filters, dosing systems, tanks and other process equipment.

o Prepare technical specifications for equipment.

o Review vendor technical offers and drawings.

4. PFD / P&ID; Engineering

o Prepare and review PFDs and P&IDs;.

o Develop Line Lists and equipment identification.

o Define process parameters, flow directions and operating conditions.

o Coordinate with piping, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation teams for P&ID; development.

5. Piping & Line Sizing

o Perform line sizing based on flow, velocity and pressure-drop requirements.

o Review piping layouts and process connections.

o Define pipe sizes,



materials and relevant specifications.

o Coordinate with piping engineers for detailed engineering and layout requirements.

6. Valve & Instrumentation Requirements

o Identify and select appropriate process valves.

o Prepare valve requirements based on process conditions.

o Identify instrumentation requirements such as flow, pressure, level, pH, DO, ORP and conductivity.

o Coordinate with instrumentation engineers for control philosophy and P&ID; requirements.

7. Technical Documentation

o Prepare Process Datasheets, Equipment Datasheets, Line Lists, Equipment Lists, BOQ/BOM and MTO.

o Prepare technical specifications and calculation sheets.

o Maintain engineering documents and revisions.

o Review drawings and technical documents before submission to clients.

8. Project Coordination

o Coordinate with Design, Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Procurement and Project teams.

o Participate in technical discussions with clients and consultants.

o Review client comments and incorporate necessary changes.

9. Site & Commissioning Support

o Provide technical support during installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.

o Verify whether site execution follows approved process drawings and specifications.

o Support performance testing and plant optimization.

o Resolve process-related technical issues during project execution.

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
