Position: Civil Engineer

Project Location: Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL), Kochi, Kerala

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the planning, design coordination, and execution of civil engineering works at the CIAL project site.
- Supervise and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
- Review civil engineering drawings, designs, BOQs, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and proper execution.
- Coordinate with client, contractors, architects, and other project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor the quality of construction materials, workmanship, and site activities in accordance with approved specifications and applicable standards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, engineering standards, safety requirements, and statutory regulations.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing project estimates, quantity calculations, measurements, and cost-related documentation.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules and report delays, deviations, and site-related challenges to the reporting officer.




- Assist in conducting project review meetings and preparing progress updates for senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to site safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or potential risks.
- Liaise with relevant authorities and project stakeholders, as required, for project coordination and necessary approvals.
- Identify opportunities to improve construction quality, work efficiency, resource utilization, and project delivery.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the reporting officer in connection with the project.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) from a recognized institution.
- 3–8 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, construction supervision, infrastructure development, or consultancy projects.
- Experience in airport projects, PWD/CPWD works, infrastructure projects, or similar engineering assignments will be an added advantage.
- Robust knowledge of civil engineering practices, construction methods, technical drawings, and quality control procedures.
- Experience in site supervision, project coordination, contractor management, and progress monitoring.
- Valuable understanding of relevant codes, standards, safety practices, and statutory requirements.
- Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work effectively at project sites and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Candidates with project management experience
