Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 1040 Manager to join our dynamic tax team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and review of complex individual income tax returns (Form 1040), providing expert tax advice, and managing a team of tax professionals. This role requires a deep understanding of federal and state tax laws, exceptional leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee the preparation and review of complex individual federal and state income tax returns (Form 1040), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to junior staff, including reviewing their work, providing constructive feedback, and fostering their career development.
- Conduct in-depth tax research on various individual tax issues and provide clear, concise, and actionable tax planning advice to clients.
- Manage client relationships,



serving as a primary point of contact for individual tax clients, addressing their inquiries, and proactively identifying tax planning opportunities.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all individual tax returns and extensions, managing workflow and deadlines effectively.
- Represent clients before tax authorities during audits or inquiries, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Stay current with changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting pronouncements, and communicate their implications to clients and staff.
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities for clients while ensuring compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments and service lines to provide integrated solutions for clients.
- Participate in business development activities, including identifying new client opportunities and preparing proposals.
