About the Role

Lawrence English School is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Science Teachers to teach Science for students from Classes 7 to 10 as per the State Curriculum.

Both freshers and experienced candidates are welcome to apply. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in Science, good communication skills and a genuine interest in teaching school students.

Key Responsibilities

* Teach Science to students of Classes 7, 8, 9 and 10 as per the State Curriculum.

* Plan and deliver clear, engaging and age-appropriate lessons.

* Explain scientific concepts using practical examples, demonstrations and activities.

* Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments and other teaching materials.

* Conduct or assist with Science experiments and practical activities wherever applicable.

* Conduct class tests, assessments and examinations as required.

* Monitor students’ academic progress and provide individual guidance where required.

* Provide additional academic support to students who require assistance.

* Prepare Class 10 students effectively for their State Board examinations.

* Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.

* Maintain lesson plans, assessment records and other academic documentation.

* Participate in parent-teacher meetings when required.

* Coordinate with other teachers and school management.

* Participate in school academic activities and events as required.





Educational Qualification

* B.Sc. or equivalent Bachelor’s Degree in Science from a recognized institution.

* B.Ed. or relevant teacher-training qualification will be preferred.

* Candidates should have good subject knowledge relevant to the State Curriculum.

Experience

* Freshers: Candidates with a Science degree, good subject knowledge and a passion for teaching are welcome.

* Experienced: Previous teaching experience in a school, particularly for Classes 7–10, will be an advantage.

* Experience teaching the State Curriculum will be preferred.

Required Skills

* Strong knowledge of Science concepts.

* Good communication and presentation skills.

* Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and understandable manner.

* Good classroom management and student-handling skills.

* Ability to engage and motivate students.

* Good lesson planning and time-management skills.

* Patience and a positive attitude towards students.

* Basic computer skills for preparing presentations, worksheets and assessments.

Working Hours

Part-Time: Teaching hours will be scheduled based on the school’s academic timetable and requirements. (Preferably morning session 8:30 am to 12:10 pm)

Compensation

Salary/Remuneration: Based on qualification, teaching experience and number of classes/hours assigned.
