Work Location: Ahmedabad, Gujarat (Office-Based with Mandatory Site Visits)

Target Candidate: Belong to & currently residing in Ahmedabad ONLY

Experience Required: 3 to 5 Years in Substation Design / Substation Construction / Transmission Lines

Educational Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory)

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly capable Electrical Engineer to lead substation and transmission line projects directly from our Head Office in Ahmedabad. This role combines office-based technical design review, end-to-end procurement, and complete project coordination, supplemented by mandatory site visits as required by project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

- Office-Based Engineering Leadership & Project Management:
- Overall lead substation and transmission line projects from our Ahmedabad Head Office—serving as the central point of contact for technical management, progress tracking, and project execution.
- Lead project schedules, milestone tracking, and inter-departmental workflows from initiation to successful commissioning.
- Drawing & Technical Design Review:
- Read, review, analyze, and interpret Single-Line Diagrams (SLD), substation layout drawings, schematic diagrams, panel wiring, equipment layouts, earthing grids, and cable schedules for Extra-High Voltage (EHV) and High-Voltage (HV) substations and transmission lines.
- Procurement & Technical Material Management:
- Manage procurement activities including technical evaluation of vendor quotations, Preparation / Verification of Bill of Quantities (BOQ/BOM),



and technical comparison statements for substation equipment, towers, and hardware.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for technical clearance, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) approval, and timely dispatch of site materials.
- Project Coordination & Approvals:
- Actively coordinate drawing approvals, technical specs, and commercial clearances between clients (e.g., Torrent Power, GETCO, Discoms), internal engineering teams, consultants, and site execution teams.
- Mandatory Site Visits & Execution Supervision:
- Mandatory periodic site visits to active construction sites to monitor progress, conduct quality audits, resolve site technical bottlenecks, and verify execution against approved drawings.
- Supervise key execution stages during site visits, including equipment erection, grounding/earthing mat installation, transformer placing, gantry/structure assembly, and line stringing.
- Site Quality, Standards & Compliance:
- Ensure that all electrical execution, procurement specs, and testing procedures strictly conform to IS/IEC standards, utility specifications, safety protocols, and project deadlines.

Mandatory Candidate Eligibility Criteria

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of core experience in Substation Design, Construction, or Transmission Line Execution.
- Location Constraint (Strict): Must belong to and currently reside in Ahmedabad. or seeking relocation to Ahmedabad.
- Drawing Mastery: Expert ability to read and interpret complex EHV/HV electrical drawings and layout schematics independently.
- Mobility: Willingness and capability to perform mandatory site visits as project needs demand.

Pay: ₹448,000.00 - ₹720,000.00 per year
