Prospect Overview

We are seeking engaging, student-centered Online English Tutors to support learners following the UScurriculum at three levels: Middle School (Grades 6–8), High School (Grades 9–12), and SAT Reading& Writing preparation. Successful candidates will combine strong English language and literatureknowledge with clear online instruction, diagnostic assessment, actionable feedback, andindividualized learning plans. Tutors should foster confidence, critical thinking, close reading,evidence-based writing, and independent learning in a supportive virtual classroom.

1. Online English Tutor — US Middle School (Grades 6–8)

Essential Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in English, English Literature, Education, Linguistics, or a closely related discipline; equivalent relevant qualifications may be considered.
- Strong command of English grammar, usage, reading comprehension, literary analysis, and written communication. Working knowledge of US middle-school ELA learning expectations and grade-appropriate instructional practices.

Essential Experience

- Prior experience teaching or tutoring English/ELA to middle-school learners,



preferably in one-to-one or small-group settings.

Desirable Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in English

2. Online English Tutor — US High School (Grades 9–12)

Essential Qualifications

- Master’s degree in English, English Literature, Education, Writing, Linguistics, or a closely related field.

Essential Experience

- Teaching or tutoring experience with high-school English/ELA, ideally grades 9–12.

Desirable Qualifications

- Bachelor's of Education

3. Online English Tutor — Scholastic Assessment Test (Reading & Writing) / SAT

Essential Qualifications

- Master’s degree in English, English Literature, Education, Linguistics, Writing, or a closely related discipline; strong equivalent experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated understanding of the digital SAT Reading and Writing structure, tested domains, and question formats.

Essential Experience

- Experience tutoring or teaching SAT Reading and Writing, or equivalent standardized-test English preparation.

Desirable Qualifications

- Bachelor of Education
- A strong record of helping students improve SAT Reading and Writing performance, supported where possible by documented outcomes.

Pay: ₹300.00 - ₹600.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6.0 – 12.0 per week
