Job Description: Senior DevOps Engineer (Production Stability)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer (Production Stability) to operate and stabilize a complex, business-critical DevOps environment supporting Unite Services and integrations across 24x7 systems.

The environment includes a combination of legacy and modern tooling, hybrid infrastructure (cloud and on-premises), and partially documented systems.

You will work as part of a contractor pod of 3–4 engineers, ensuring reliable production operations, stable CI/CD pipelines and deployments, and fast, effective incident response.

This is a hands-on role with approximately 90% individual contributor responsibilities and participation in an on-call rotation, primarily on weekdays.

Key Responsibilities1. Production Operations & Incident Response

- Support 24x7 production systems for Unite Services and integrations.
- Participate in the on-call rotation, primarily on weekdays.
- Troubleshoot incidents across CI/CD, Kubernetes, API Gateway, networking, and applications.
- Perform incident triage, mitigation, and recovery.
- Ensure protected deployments and reliable rollback capabilities.

2. CI/CD & Deployment Stability

- Operate and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and Octopus.
- Debug and resolve pipeline failures quickly.
- Support multi-environment deployments across DEV, QA, PROD, and special environments.
- Improve deployment reliability without disrupting delivery.

3. Kubernetes & Infrastructure Operations

- Support Kubernetes clusters across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Perform troubleshooting, patching, and basic upgrades.
- Tune CPU and memory resources and investigate performance issues.




- Work with supporting services such as Redis, RabbitMQ, databases, and API gateways.
- Manage containerized environments using Docker.

4. API Gateway, Cloud & Legacy Systems

- Support AWS API Gateway and related infrastructure.
- Work with existing Terraform configurations and modules.
- Troubleshoot routing, domain, and traffic issues involving Cloudflare and Azure API Management (APIM).
- Support critical legacy systems, including Windows-based services such as Task Manager.
- Work across AWS and Azure cloud environments.

5. Observability & Technical Support

- Use monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and logging platforms to investigate issues.
- Improve alerts and dashboards where required.
- Collaborate with support teams on operational tasks and escalations.

6. Automation, Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

- Use scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell to automate operational tasks.
- Document deployment, rollback, and recovery procedures.
- Contribute to runbooks for critical systems.
- Share knowledge with the team and contractor lead.

Required Skills & Experience

- 9+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or production infrastructure operations.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
- Practical experience with Kubernetes operations and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of Docker and containerized applications.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, including working with existing configurations and modules.




- Experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Octopus, or similar tools.
- Experience supporting business-critical production systems and handling incidents under pressure.
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, and logging systems.
- Experience working in hybrid cloud and on-premises environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across networking, APIs, infrastructure, and applications.
- Scripting experience with Bash, Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and take ownership of production stability.

Success Criteria: First 90 Days

- Independently support production systems and operational workflows.
- Stabilize CI/CD pipelines and make deployments more predictable.
- Handle incidents quickly and effectively.
- Document critical workflows and recovery procedures.
- Collaborate smoothly with the contractor lead and the engineering team.

Pay: Up to ₹2,000,000.00 per year
