We are looking for a Digital Automation Engineer who can help build, maintain, and improve technology-driven workflows used in digital content production and publishing.

This role will focus on reducing manual effort, improving production efficiency, resolving workflow issues, and supporting reliable delivery of digital content. You will work closely with technology, content, editorial, and production teams to understand operational challenges and develop practical automation solutions.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across scripting, structured content, content transformation, and publishing processes, while also being able to independently troubleshoot and communicate issues effectively.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and enhance automation solutions that support digital content production and publishing activities.
- Build scripts and utilities to reduce manual intervention and improve the efficiency of recurring production tasks.
- Support the processing, transformation, validation, and delivery of structured digital content.
- Investigate production and workflow issues and determine appropriate technical solutions.
- Maintain and enhance existing scripts, automation utilities, and publishing workflows.
- Work closely with content, editorial, production, and technology teams to understand requirements and resolve operational challenges.
- Track workflow progress and identify potential delays, dependencies, and technical blockers.
- Communicate issues, risks, and dependencies clearly to relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in initiatives aimed at improving content production processes and reducing repetitive work.




- Help maintain consistency and quality across different stages of the digital content lifecycle.
- Document automation processes, solutions, and workflow-related technical information where required.

Required SkillsTechnical Skills

- Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, Node JS, ExtendScript
- Proficiency in working with structured data formats such as JSON, and CSV.
- Solid understanding of HTML and CSS.
- Experience with digital content creation, transformation, and publishing workflows.
- Familiarity with content management systems and publishing pipelines.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to investigate complex workflow problems and identify practical solutions.
- Comfortable taking ownership of assigned tasks and following issues through to resolution.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in digital publishing,



educational publishing, eLearning, or content production.
- Exposure to workflow automation and content transformation processes.
- Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and scripting is a plus.
- Experience with XML-based publishing systems is an advantage.
- Exposure to high-volume digital content production or publishing environments will be beneficial.

Experience

8–10 years of relevant experience in automation, software development, digital publishing, content production, content operations, or a related field.
