About Us
Shalom Residential Public School is a residential and day school in Chittur, Palakkad. We teach students from Kerala and from across India, including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand. Our aim is to give every child a strong academic foundation, sound values and the confidence to speak and write well.

About the Role
We are looking for a committed English teacher for Classes. You will build reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Many of our students come from Hindi- or Malayalam-medium backgrounds, so you should be patient, creative and good at helping students grow from wherever they start.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver English lessons in line with the [CBSE] curriculum
- Teach grammar, literature, composition and spoken English
- Help students who are still building basic English through remedial and bridge sessions
- Prepare students for board exams [for senior classes]
- Set, conduct and evaluate tests, assignments and term exams
- Run activities such as debates, elocution, reading clubs, drama and assembly programmes




- Track each student’s progress and share updates with parents during PTMs
- Help the school improve spoken English across campus
- Contribute to residential life (study hours, weekend activities) [if applicable]

Qualifications

- MA / BA in English Literature or English Language
- B.Ed (mandatory)
- [CTET / KTET qualified – preferred]
- [2+] years of school teaching experience preferred. Freshers with robust communication skills may apply.

Skills We Value
