About Us

Signs & Decal Corp. is an established architectural signage company based in New York. We are looking for a detail-oriented Signage Draftsperson to prepare simple, accurate signage drawings and layouts using the instructions, sketches, and references provided by our team.

About the Role

This position focuses on basic 2D signage drawings showing sign dimensions, text, graphics, and placement. The ideal candidate can turn provided information into clear, organized drawings and make revisions based on feedback.

Fabrication work and complex engineering detailing are not part of this role.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare simple signage drawings and layouts based on project instructions.
- Show sign dimensions, lettering, logos, spacing, and alignment accurately.
- Convert sketches, reference images, and marked-up drawings into clean digital drawings.
- Prepare drawings for team review and client approval.
- Update drawings based on comments and requested changes.
- Check spelling, measurements, and consistency before submitting work.
- Maintain organized files and clearly label drawing revisions.
- Communicate progress and complete assignments within agreed deadlines.

Qualifications and Skills





- Proficiency in AutoCAD or a similar 2D drafting program.
- Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW is an advantage.
- Ability to understand measurements, scale, and basic drawing instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow written instructions and communicate clearly in English.
- Ability to work independently, manage assignments, and meet deadlines.
- Previous experience preparing signage drawings is preferred.
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable computer for work from home.

Education

A certificate, diploma, or degree in CAD Drafting, Graphic Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred. Candidates with relevant practical skills and a strong portfolio will also be considered without a formal degree.

Work Schedule

You may work during your local working hours. Working during U.S. business hours is not required; however, regular progress updates, timely responses to feedback, and meeting deadlines are essential.
