About the Role

SLK Education Loan Consultancy is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for creating engaging, professional and informative video content for our social media platforms, marketing campaigns and educational-loan related content.

The ideal candidate should have a valuable understanding of short-form content, social media trends, storytelling and visual communication.

Key Responsibilities

* Edit engaging Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other short-form videos for the company.

* Create professional video content related to education loans, study abroad, financial guidance and student services.

* Edit talking-head videos, promotional videos, informational videos, testimonials and marketing content.

* Add captions, subtitles, text overlays, transitions, animations, graphics and sound effects where required.

* Ensure videos have strong hooks, smooth pacing and engaging storytelling.

* Select and edit suitable footage, images, stock visuals and background music according to the content.

* Maintain proper audio quality, video resolution, lighting and overall visual consistency.

* Create videos according to the company’s brand identity, tone and visual guidelines.

* Stay updated with current Instagram and YouTube trends, editing styles, transitions, sounds and content formats.

* Repurpose long-form footage into multiple short-form videos suitable for social media.

* Work closely with the content and marketing team to understand video requirements and deliver content accordingly.

* Suggest creative ideas for new reels, campaigns and promotional content.

* Make revisions based on feedback and ensure the final video meets the required standards.





* Organize and maintain video footage, project files, graphics and other editing assets properly.

* Deliver projects within the assigned deadlines.

* Ensure all published content is accurate, professional and free from spelling, subtitle or visual errors.

* Follow platform-specific requirements for Instagram, YouTube and other social media platforms.

* Assist with basic thumbnail creation and other visual content when required.

Required Skills

* Good knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut or similar tools.

* Strong understanding of short-form video editing and social media content.

* Knowledge of basic motion graphics, text animation and transitions.

* Good sense of timing, music selection, visual composition and storytelling.

* Ability to create clean and professional subtitles/captions.

* Creativity and attention to detail.

* Ability to understand instructions and work independently.

* Good time-management and ability to handle multiple projects.

* Willingness to learn and adapt to new social media trends.

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in digital marketing, education, study-abroad, finance or consultancy-related content is a plus.

* Experience creating Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts.

* Basic knowledge of graphic design/Canva will be an added advantage.

* A portfolio or examples of previous editing work are preferred.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is creative, reliable, quick to learn and passionate about video content. The candidate should be able to turn basic footage into engaging, polished and professional videos that connect with students and potential customers.

Candidates are encouraged to share their portfolio, Instagram/YouTube editing work or sample videos along with their application.

Pay: From ₹10,000.00 per month
