JOB DESCRIPTION – SUPERVISOR (WSS & WTP)

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Site Supervisor to oversee the execution of Water Supply Scheme (WSS) and Water Treatment Plant (WTP) projects. The candidate will be responsible for supervising daily site activities, managing manpower, ensuring quality and safety standards, and completing work as per approved drawings and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise day-to-day site activities related to Water Supply Schemes (WSS) and Water Treatment Plants (WTP).
- Monitor the installation of water supply pipelines, fittings, valves, pumps, and related infrastructure.
- Supervise civil works, including excavation, laying, jointing, backfilling, RCC works, and construction of plant structures.
- Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and labour teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Ensure all work is carried out as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements.
- Monitor manpower, machinery, materials, and equipment at the site.
- Maintain daily progress reports, site registers, labour attendance, and material consumption records.
- Check the quality of materials and workmanship and report any deviations to the concerned engineer.
- Ensure compliance with site safety rules and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist in measurements, quantity calculations, and preparation of daily work reports.




- Coordinate with the project team for material requirements and timely completion of activities.
- Identify site-related issues and report them to the Site Engineer or Project Manager for timely resolution.
- Monitor progress against the project schedule and ensure timely completion of assigned work.
- Support testing, inspection, and commissioning activities related to pipelines and WTP systems.

Required Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related technical qualification.
- Relevant experience in WSS, WTP, pipeline, or water infrastructure projects will be preferred.
- Knowledge of civil construction activities, pipeline installation, and site supervision.
- Ability to manage labour, contractors, and daily site operations.
- Basic knowledge of drawings, measurements, and site documentation.

Required Skills

- Site supervision and manpower management.
- Knowledge of WSS, WTP, and pipeline works.
- Understanding of construction drawings and technical specifications.
- Problem-solving and coordination skills.
- Positive communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to work at project sites and meet deadlines.

Experience

Relevant experience in WSS / WTP / water infrastructure projects will be preferred. Candidates with hands-on site supervision experience will be given priority.
