Key responsibilities
Assess
- Map end-to-end patient journeys across OPD, IPD, diagnostics, pharmacy and billing, and identify where experience breaks down
- Run structured stakeholder interviews with promoters, doctors, nurses, front-office staff and patients
- Conduct process and SOP audits to identify adherence, deviations, bottlenecks, and quality gaps
- Build competitor and market benchmarks for service mix, pricing, occupancy and positioning
Transform
- Convert findings into prioritised recommendations the client can actually execute
- Design revised workflows, SOPs, and staffing structures
- Support technology rollouts - HIS or EMR selection, queue and token systems, digital payments, including vendor shortlisting and evaluation
- Drive on-ground implementation: coordinate with client teams and vendors, train staff, and stay with the change until it holds
Measure
- Define the KPIs that matter for each engagement and build the tracking behind them
- Produce dashboards and periodic reports that show whether the intervention worked
Across all engagements
- Write client-facing deliverables - audit reports, recommendation decks, implementation roadmaps - to a standard a hospital board will act on
- Present findings directly to promoters and senior hospital leadership
- Contribute to proposals and complimentary diagnostic audits that open recent client relationships
Who we are looking for
Background
- 3 to 4 years of post-qualification experience in hospital operations,
hospital quality, or healthcare consulting
- MHA, MBA in Hospital or Healthcare Management, or an equivalent qualification; a clinical degree alongside it is welcome
- Hands-on exposure to hospital workflows, you have worked inside a hospital, not only studied one
Skills
- Strong analytical ability: comfortable building models in Excel or Sheets and drawing a defensible conclusion from messy operational data
- Clear written communication; you can write a report a promoter reads without needing it explained
- Confident presenting to senior stakeholders, including doctors and hospital owners
- Able to run a project independently - scope, timelines, follow-ups, and deliverables - without being managed day to day
Temperament
- Comfortable with ambiguity and with being the one who decides what to do next
- Willing to spend time on the floor rather than only in meetings
- Persuasive with clinical staff who are sceptical of outside advice, which is most of them at the start
Good to have
- Exposure to HIS, EMR or hospital IT implementation
- Experience with BI and AI tools for dashboarding
- Prior consulting experience, whether at a healthcare consulting firm or the strategy arm of a hospital group
- Comfort working across languages beyond English, Hindi and Marathi, given the geographic spread of our clients
Pay: ₹720,000.00 - ₹1,080,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
