1. Job Overview

We are looking for a qualified, motivated, and responsible Assistant Professor in Commerce to join our Speech and Hearing Impaired School and College on a full-time contractual basis.

The candidate will be responsible for teaching, student mentoring, online documentation, and administrative activities. The ideal candidate should have a genuine interest in working in the disability sector and contributing to inclusive education.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Deliver lectures and conduct academic sessions in Commerce and related subjects.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assessments, and question papers.
- Evaluate student performance and maintain academic records.
- Provide academic guidance and mentoring to students.
- Handle online documentation, data entry, report preparation, and digital record management.
- Maintain departmental records, academic documentation, and other administrative documents.
- Participate in departmental meetings, institutional events, and student development activities.
- Support curriculum planning and institutional development initiatives.
- Contribute to an inclusive learning environment and support the educational needs of students with disabilities.

3. Working Conditions

- Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

- Nature of Work: Academic teaching, online documentation, and administrative responsibilities.
- Holidays and Leave: As per applicable university norms and institutional policies.
- Contract Duration: As specified in the appointment letter.
- Language Requirements: Proficiency in Marathi, Hindi, and English is required.
- Travel Requirement: The candidate must know how to ride a two-wheeler and be willing to travel for institutional work when required.

4. Desired Candidate Profile

- A postgraduate degree in Commerce or a relevant discipline, with qualifications as prescribed by applicable university and regulatory norms.
- Strong teaching, presentation, and classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in Marathi, Hindi, and English for effective communication with students, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Sound computer knowledge, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email communication, online documentation, data entry, and report preparation.
- Strong organisational, administrative, and time-management skills.
- A genuine interest in working in the disability sector and promoting inclusive education.
- Ability to ride a two-wheeler and willingness to travel for work-related purposes when required.
- A patient, empathetic, adaptable, and student-focused approach.
